The Farm

A place of peace, hard work, and home-cooked meals

This farm is our home. It’s the place we always want to come back to. We were raised here and go back seven generations on this piece of land. My great grandfather raised cows here and (his grandfather) is buried at the church down the street.

There are fruit trees growing all around our house. We have pecan trees, fig bushes, black walnuts, and Crape Myrtles galore. The pomegranate and peach trees was struck a few years back during a storm, but the old-fashioned pear trees still produce in such abundance the branches bow to meet us.

We came and went. Traveled and worked. Went through college. Started something new. But still, to The Farm we return. When we were a thousand miles away, we would say “let’s go back home to The Farm.” – The Farm Back Home.

And so it began. We settled down and started our roots again… oh wait, those roots were already running deep. So, we came home and dove back in to all the things we loved. Thinking back to all the things our forefathers did, we wanted to learn the old ways. The things we did not yet know and love, we set out to learn. This was a homesteading journey of sorts, but The Farm ran through our veins long before then.

Won’t you come to The Farm Back Home, to journey back to the things you have always loved and to learn the skills you have only dreamed of.

You can hear our story and see our farm in this video titled “Our Story & Sourdough Pizza.
